Sea Lake and Manangatang lines & Mildura and Ararat to Maryborough lines

Sea Lake and Manangatang lines

Both the Sea Lake and Manangatang rail lines will remain open as broad gauge between January 2018 and March 2018 to continue facilitating the export of grain from the region.

Operators will be able to access Victorian ports via the broad gauge route through Maryborough, Warrenheip and Gheringhap.

Mildura and Ararat to Maryborough lines

Once reopened, the Mildura and Ararat to Maryborough lines will provide a standard gauge connection via the Ararat to Maroona line.

There will be reduced speeds on these lines as the track beds in and on approach to some level crossings.
